Taylor Swift has mocked Kanye’s infamous interruption of her award speech at the 2009 VMAs in the most Taylor Swift way possible; the ountry singer gave Ed Sheeran – her newfound musical partner – a jar of homemade jam with a handwritten message on it.

Swift's cheeky jam, as posted by Sheeran on Instagram

"Yo Ed—I'm really happy 4 you and I'm gonna let u finish but this is the best JAM OF ALL TIME. —T" said the message, and we know this because Sheeran stopped giggling for a few seconds to post it on Instagram.

Kanye’s rude interruption while Swift was picking up the award for best video had gone down in MTV legend. “Yo, Taylor, I'm really happy for you, and I'm gonna let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time," he said, while a bewilders Swift looked speechless. Beyonce was mortified, too, and let Swift “have her moment” later on in the evening.

West then said sorry, in his own roundabout way. Kicking off a mammoth Twitter rant with: "I accept the idea (ideal) that perception is reality. When I say perception is reality I mean whatever you think is the truth... is your truth. Some people's truth is Kanye is racist... It's not my truth but I do believe it's my Karma.... walk with me...” And closing it up, a million words later, with: "It starts with this...I'm sorry Taylor."

Never been one to do things simply, has he? And Swift wasn’t finished there, a cheeky Tweet announcing her pleasure with the VMA nominations contained a subtle Kanye reference. “Two VMA nominations!! If you vote and get us one, I promise to keep a firmer grip on the mic this time ;)” she wrote.
