David Mueller and his girlfriend attended one of Swift's concerts and were invited backstage for a photo op with the Bad Blood hitmaker, but he was kicked out of the venue by the singer's security staff after they accused him of "grabbing her butt" during an intimate moment - and the incident cost him his job.

On Thursday (10Sep15), Mueller filed a suit in U.S. District Court against Swift over lost wages. At the time, Mueller had a salary of $150,000 (£93,750) a year, according to court documents obtained by CNN.com.

Now, a spokesperson for Swift has responded to the lawsuit, defending the pop star in a statement to People magazine, which reads: "The radio station was given evidence immediately after the incident. They made their independent decision."

While Swift's rep did not clearly state what that evidence was, reports suggest the meet-and-greet photo will torpedo his Mueller's argument.
