Taylor Swift has taken down trolls, taken on Apple Music and squared up to Katy Perry but it seems her latest ‘beef’ with Nicki Minaj was one argument she couldn’t win and she's now said sorry to the Anaconda rapper following the pair’s VMA spat.

Taylor SwiftSwifty has apologised to Nicki MInaj saying she "misspoke"

Taylor ignited furious flames when she took personal umbrage to Nicki’s suggestion that her Anaconda video had missed out on a VMA nomination because the music industry celebrates "woman with very slim bodies".

However, despite Taylor finding many people in her corner, including Ed Sheeran, she has since apologised for the frustration she showed towards Nicki’s VMA nomination complaint.

Taylor tweeted: "I thought I was being called out. I missed the point, I misunderstood, then misspoke. I’m sorry, Nicki."

Fortunately for Taylor, Nicki accepted her apology swiftly and tweeted: "That means so much Taylor, thank you."

The row has rumbled on for a number of days and has brought comments from Katy Perry, widely regarded as Taylor’s enemy, and even Piers Morgan.

Taylor has been praised for her desire to speak out on numerous occasions and even managed to get Apple to change its policy on its new streaming service.

But this outspoken foray has not worked out so well for Swifty who has instead come across as immature during a valid discussion Nicki was trying to have about black, female representation in the music industry.

A win in the Best Video category at this year’s VMAs may seem extremely bittersweet for Taylor now.
