Taylor Swift’s ‘Blank Space’ video has officially landed online (finally) just a few hours after Yahoo mistakenly posted the clip and then removed it. Taylor’s latest (and arguably best) music video is a just over four minute rollercoster ride of emotions, about a woman who feels well and truly scorned.

Taylor SwiftTaylor plays a woman scorned in 'Blank Space'

In the video, Taylor plays a woman sent over the edge after she catches her boyfriend texting during a picnic date. She then seeks revenge on her handsome lover (played by Sean O’Pry) with a whole variety of crazy antics.

For example, in one shot Taylor stands on a horse, in another she takes a butcher's knife to a heart shaped cake while sitting on her bed. She also sets some clothes on fire, drops her lover's phone in the pool, wrecks his car with a golf club, oh and slashes the portrait she painted of him.

The song and accompanying video pokes fun at the image of Taylor created by the media, who often paint her as a serial dater.

Speaking to Mashable, the video’s director Joseph Kahn (who was also responsible for Britney’s ‘Toxic’) described Taylor’s idea behind the video’s concept. “She’s highly aware of one particular thing that’s happening right now — the idea that if you date her and you break up with her, she’s going to write a song about you,” he said.

"She’s aware of this. She’s not an idiot. Taylor wanted to make a video addressing this concept of, if she has so many boys breaking up with her maybe the problem isn’t the boy, maybe the problem is her.”

‘Blank Space’ is the second single to be taken from Swift’s already platinum selling album 1989, which was released a fortnight ago. While the singer has recently polarised the industry after removing her music from Spotify, the album is already the best selling record released so far in 2014.

'Blank Space' hit shelves today (November 10th).
