World-famous celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck has described Victoria Beckham has “uptight”, and revealed that she only ever orders spinach or steamed vegetables when she visits his exclusive restaurant in Los Angeles.

The 66 year old Austrian-born Puck, who is known for catering to Hollywood’s crème-de-la-crème every year when he caters at the Oscars ceremony, says that the Beckham family are regular customers at his Cut eatery. However, he revealed in an interview with Heat magazine about her particular attitude towards food.

The chef first encountered Victoria when he laid on the catering at the Beckhams’ ‘Welcome to L.A.’ party when he signed for the city’s football team L.A. Galaxy back in 2008. While Puck complimented David’s socialising skills, saying he could “talk and talk” with him for ages, he believes she has a “game face” for public appearances and isn’t really interested in anybody else.

“David's there with a steak and she's there with vegetables… ...she's uptight. Everything has to be right, she's not interested in talking to anyone.”

When the former Spice Girl comes to his restaurant with her family, his kitchen will normally prepare a simple plate of spinach with “a touch of salt”. Her 40 year old ex-footballer husband, however, is a “straight eater” and the complete opposite of Victoria.

He also revealed some of the eating habits of other A-listers, saying that the Academy Awards’ Governor’s Ball catering, which he’s been doing annually for 22 years, requires a surprising amount of food because many stars having been starving themselves for three to four days beforehand.

His mac ‘n’ cheese and chicken pot pies are apparently very popular with John Travolta and Barbra Streisand, while the smoked salmon pizzas go down well with Charlize Theron and Sylvester Stallone.
