Chris White, the Fox News associate producer who was responsible for a four-minute "attack video" aimed at President Obama that aired during the news network's morning show Fox & Friends, may find himself in career limbo following an outcry from both the right and the left over the video. On Wednesday even some conservative commentators, while noting that they agreed with the arguments presented in the video, maintained that it gave critics that chance to exploit their argument that Fox News is a mouthpiece for Republicans. White had received ardent praise from the F&F hosts after his video was shown, but as criticism of the network mounted, Fox News programming chief Bill Shine issued a statement noting that the video was not authorized by senior management and hinted that disciplinary action would be taken against those responsible for airing it. And while some reports indicated that White had little to be concerned about since he had recently been recruted by rival CNN, that network issue a statement on Thursday saying that it would not be hiring White.
