Sarah Palin Says She's Ready To "Move On" As She Accepts Martin Bashir's Apology

Martin Bashir stepped down from his post on MSNBC this week after making a disparaging comment against former Alaska governor and one-time vice president hopeful Sarah Palin during a broadcast last month. During an appearance on Fox News' Fox & Friends show on Thursday, 5 December, Palin addressed the comments for the first time and said that she is ready to "move on" following the incident.

"My role was to accept his apology and be humble enough to accept it and move on," Palin said in the broadcast (via USA Today). A regular contributor for Fox News, Palin is a frequent critic of the news coverage found in what she calls the "lamestream media," and said during yesterday's broadcast that it was "refreshing to see though that many in the media did come out and say, 'Look, our standards have got to be higher than this.'"
