New Found Glory frontman Jordan Pundik has confirmed the band will be taking a lengthy hiatus to recover from its latest gruelling tour.

The Hit or Miss stars hit the road last year (11) for a series of back-to-back concerts to mark the 10th anniversary of their breakthrough record Sticks and Stones.

The rockers have now announced they are taking a break from performing to re-cooperate, but Pundik, who is opening a tattoo parlour in Nashville, Tennessee, reassures fans the group will be back - but not for at least two years.

He tells Billboard.com, "I think we need to go away for a little bit. We've been touring for a long time. I don't think anybody's in the head space for writing a new record.

"We won't go away completely; we're still gonna be doing things here and there, probably some one-offs and things like that. But to be honest I don't think we'll have anything new out until 2014... I'm completely confident we'll be back."
