The Little Mix singer had nowhere to go after the end of her four-year relationship with Zayn.
Writing in Little Mix's new book Our World, Perrie said that after being dumped by Zayn via text message she was left with “nowhere to go”.

"After I split with my partner, out of the blue, I had nowhere to go, which was incredibly stressful. For a while I had no idea what to do,” she wrote.
Perrie's Little Mix bandmates did all offer to let her stay with them, but Perrie didn't want to burden her friends who "didn’t really have room" anyway.
"I thought about renting but I've got dogs and cats, so that was no good,” she continued.
“At the time we were promoting 'Black Magic', and while I was in America, things really hit me and I panicked. I realised I was homeless. I was crying every day, dreading coming back.”
Modest! Management owner Richard Griffiths eventually came to Perrie’s rescue after her mother Debbie arranged for her to stay in his guest cottage for as long as she needed.
“Thank God for him. I put all my stuff in storage, took my dogs and more or less lived out of a suitcase for a good month and a half,” she added.
In the book Perrie also confirms that Zayn broke up with her via text message. "It was horrible, the worst time of my life,” she writes.
“A four-year relationship, two year engagement ended by a simple text message. Just like that.”
