Spectrals' single, It's Xmas And I've Got Everything I Want, was originally released in 2011. His debut album, Bad Penny, was released in October 2011, with debut single, Get A Grip, being released in August 2011.
The video for It's Xmas And I've Got Everything I Want is a cheery, festive song comprising entirely of home footage of Spectrals' - aka Louis Jones - Christmases as a child, surrounded by relatives. This is interspersed with clips of Louis and his touring band having a laugh whilst on tour throughout the UK over the summer.
In Spectrals' early days, Louis' music attracted the attention of various labels, including Sex Is Disgusting (Mazes, Human Hair) and Captured Tracks (Dum Dum Girls; Wild Nothing).
Bad Penny was recorded with the help of Richard Formby, who has worked with Spacemen 3 and Wild Beasts in the past.
