The rom-com duo recounted their past history together through singing a duet, while appearing on 'The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.'
Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore have a been a successful pairing in the past, they have created movie gold in 'The Wedding Singer' and '50 First Dates,' but in a recent appearance on Jimmy Fallon's new 'Tonight Show', they both gave viewers something new to see.
Barrymore was very sweet in the duet
Sandler and Barrymore appeared on the late night talk-show to discuss their third collaboration together, they both star in the upcoming rom-com 'Blended,' and to demonstrate their unquestionable chemistry between each other, they sang a duet.
"Every 10 years, we get to fall in love again," said a heavily pregnant Barrymore. Sandler replied, by saying, "We really do. We enjoy it. We have a lot of fun together."
Funnyman Jimmy Fallon then asked the pair if they wanted to express "those feelings in song." Without giving it any second thoughts, the Hollywood stars were willing to give it a go.
"Every 10 years, I promise to love you," Barrymore sang. Sandler followed by singing, "I'll always be true, even as we get older." Barrymore then recalled the first time they met, and Sandler jokingly added, "You gave me a hug and I got a boner." The actress then endearingly sang, "You are the [Fred Astaire] to my Ginger Rogers," to which Sandler sang back, "You're the Rob Ford to my crack cocaine."
Sandler joked about each other while singing
Sandler then asked Barrymore if he was a better "movie husband" than Hugh Grant and Ben Stiller, and Drew confirmed that he was. But when asked how he compared to the talk-show's host, she replied, "You both have great qualities."
"I will still love you when you're 64," Drew sang when finishing. Sandler jokingly quipped, "I will still love you when your boobs touch the floor." Barrymore then asked, "So, right now?" Sandler laughed and said, "Not yet!"
The 'Grown Ups' actor then ended the duet on by singing a lyric from a song featured in 'The Wedding Singer', "Oh, I could be the man who grows old with you. I want to grow old with Drew-y!"
