Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has confirmed he's considering swapping the stage for the American Idol judging panel - he's in talks with TV bosses to take over one of the vacant slots.
There are currently two empty spaces on the panel of the hit TV show after Simon Cowell quit to concentrate on his other talent programme The X Factor and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres walked out after just one season.
Rumours have been rife over who will take over, with high profile names including Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Simpson and Chris Isaak all linked to the coveted role.
Tyler has also been rumoured to be in contention - and now the rocker has confirmed he's been offered a place, but is still mulling over his options.
He tells syndicated U.S. radio show Kid Kraddick in the Morning, "This beautiful girl from Fox (TV) came up to me and made an offer. I honoured her offer... and it's just a work in progress. They mentioned it and I listened, and we're on tour, so I gotta give it some time."
And when asked how he would treat contestants on the show if he accepts the judging job, Tyler replied, "I would be honest to the ones that think they have it, and I would be truthful in the sense that if, to those that have it, they don't have it yet enough. And I would tell them exactly why, as I see it."
