Amy Winehouse's ex-husband wants a £6 million payoff.

Blake Fielder-Civil - who was granted a decree nisi, a preliminary stage of divorce which will then become absolute in six weeks, on Thursday (16.07.09) - insists he is entitled to the staggering sum as he inspired much of Amy's 2006 album 'Back to Black'.

Amy - who married Blake in May 2007 - wrote the top-selling album after her first split from Blake, which was sparked by him cheating on her with his ex-girlfriend.

A source said: "Amy did write 'Back to Black' when Blake left her, but why on earth should he be getting a dime for making her feel so bad?

"She was at her lowest ebb when she wrote that album. It's like saying that the man who writes a book about his murdered wife should give the murderer some of the profits. It's an absolutely ridiculous request."

Amy, 25, is said to be angry at Blake's request, which he has reportedly told her about in private.

She recently returned to London after an extended break on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia - during which she is said to have overcome her drug addiction - and wants to settle back into a normal routine.

The source told Britain's News of the World newspaper: "Amy's distraught because she doesn't think Blake will go quietly. Blake's family don't want him to ask for money but he hasn't given up on a hefty pay day.

"Amy is furious and doesn't want to negotiate. But she's happy for his outrageous demands to be made public because she wants to show him up."
