Troubled star Amy Winehouse made a surprise appearance at a London gig on Wednesday night (20Jul11) to give her goddaughter a boost.
The Rehab singer, who recently scrapped a string of European dates after a disastrous performance in Belgrade, Serbia, joined singer Dionne Bromfield onstage at the Roundhouse as part of London's iTunes Festival.
The audience cheered as Winehouse walked onstage, hugged the teenager and urged fans to buy the youngster's new album Good For The Soul - although she appeared to be a little unsteady on her feet.
It was a very different scene to that which greeted Winehouse at the shambolic appearance at Kalemegdan Park, where angry fans booed as she reportedly mumbled the lyrics to her songs and appeared intoxicated.
Following the concert her management pulled the remaining 11 gigs scheduled.
A statement read, "Amy Winehouse is withdrawing from all scheduled performances. Everyone involved wishes to do everything they can to help her return to her best and she will be given as long as it takes for this to happen."
Winehouse has endured a lengthy battle with substance and alcohol abuse - her most recent rehab stint came in May (11).
