A source has told People magazine the couple exchanged vows during a private ceremony at Manilow's Palm Springs home in California.

The insider says, "It was a surprise... Guests were told they were attending a lunch."

But those present aren't surprised the couple decided to tie the knot. The source adds, "They are committed to one another and have been for a very long time. They have a great relationship. Garry has always been there for Barry.

"He's (Manilow) at a point now where he's got his career and personal life in a great place and he really doesn't care what people think. He's in love and happy."

If the story is true, this will be Manilow's second marriage - he successfully annulled his two-year union to Susan Deixler in 1966.
