Benedict Cumberbatch, Julian Fellowes And Robert Lindsay Were Among The Stars Who Turned Out For A Special Service In Britain To Mark The Reburial Of King Richard Iii.
The monarch, who died in battle in 1485, was found buried under a car park in Leicester, England in 2012, and on Thursday (26Mar15), his remains were interred at the city's cathedral.
Star Trek Into Darkness star Cumberbatch, who is believed to be a distant relative of the King and plays him in an upcoming TV drama, read a specially commissioned poem called Richard by poet laureate Carol Ann Duffy at the funeral service.
Speaking afterwards, the Oscar nominee called the experience "extraordinary".
Other stars who turned out for the ceremony included Downton Abbey creator Fellowes and actor Lindsay.
Cumberbatch plays Richard III in BBC drama The Hollow Crown: The Wars of the Roses, which is due to air in the U.K. in 2016.
