Fact: Leonardo Dicaprio, Brie Larson, Alicia Vikander and Mark Rylance have all been confirmed to present at the 89th Academy Awards on 26 February 2017. The four stars scooped the top acting Oscars at last year's (16) ceremony and will give out the same accolades at the event later this month, where Jimmy Kimmel is acting as host.
Fact: High Rise director Ben Wheatley's new film Free Fire is to close the London Film Festival (LFF). The movie, which sees 2016 Oscar winner Brie Larson play Justine, a young woman who brokers a gun deal in 1970s Massachusetts, will premiere at the LFF's Closing Night gala on 16 October (16). The film also stars Cillian Murphy, Michael Smiley, Sharlto Copley and Armie Hammer.

Jordan, Brie Larson and Oscar Isaac are among the seven talented actors who will each be presented with the Virtuosos Award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival in California. The honour, annually bestowed upon those who are recognised as breakthrough performers, will be handed out on 4 February (14).
