Britney Spears is going to be turning blue for her next song recording. No, don’t worry folks, she’s not getting all x-rated on us. Quite the opposite in fact. Britney’s new song ‘Ooh La La’ will be featured on the soundtrack to the new Smurfs 2 movie. The track is going to feature at the end credits of the movie sequel, which is due for release on July 31, 2013, Billboard reports.

In a statement, Brit seemed pretty excited about the release and said “I have always loved the Smurfs as a kid and now my boys are the biggest Smurfs fans EVER. I wanted to surprise them with a song in the movie. I know they'll think it's Smurftastic!" She also tweeted her excitement, too, saying “Remember that surprise song I recorded for my boys? It's coming soon! #OohLaLa for #TheSmurfs2 :) Stay tuned for more ..." The track’s been produced by the Femme Fatale collaborators Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald, Ammo Cirkut, and Bonnie McKee, J Kash, Lola Blanc and Fransisca Hall all have writing credits on the track, according to Billboard. This will be the latest track from Spears since the success of her collaboration with will.i.am, ‘Scream & Shout,’ which was a Top 5 hit in the US.

Britney’s not the only female pop star associated with the movie, either. Katy Perry is returning to the franchise to reprise her smurfette role.
