Review of So Many Nights EP by Burns

It's difficult to write about BURNS without mentioning the support he's gathered together thus far. The likes of Annie Mac, Calvin Harris and Pete Tong have all championed Burns and he's sent many respected clubbing blogs into a tizzy over recent months.

Burns So Many Nights EP

Although better known for his remixes, BURNS brings us 'So Many Nights'; his fourth EP release so far. As a four track release, it already has a cult following and word in, of course, the 'correct' circles, continues to spread.

If you are really into finding the next big club anthem, you might have a couple to choose from here. Both the title track and 'Kiss 'N' Hold' both show that the attention BURNS has received has not been misplaced, signified with some sublime surges in bass throughout.

Overall though, it's difficult to get a good idea of what BURNS is hoping to achieve in the future with this four track EP, especially if you're not aware of his previous work. A quick listen to good ol' MySpace though quickly indicates BURNS' great talent for mixing. Have a listen to his effort on Empire of the Sun's 'We Are The People' before you make your decision about purchasing 'So many Nights'. If you like it, you could do much worse than take the plunge and put your hand in your pocket.

If you're into your dance and electronica, on this occasion it might be worth believing the hype. And it's not often we say that.
