Calvin Harris's single "Summer" has topped the UK charts, knocking Mr Probz "Making Waves" off the number one spot.
Calvin Harris’s latest track Summer has shot straight to the top of the UK charts, making it his sixth number one single. Toppling Knocking Waves by Mr Probz off the top spot, Summer also beat out Kiesza’s Hideaway, Sigma’s Nobody To Love and John Legend’s song, which he wrote for wife Chrissy Teigen, All Of Me.

Summer is said to have sold nearly 7,000 more copies than Knocking Waves, marking it as the clear number one. Harris’s first number one single was as a featured artist on Dizzee Rascal’s 2008 track Dance Wiv Me. He achieved his first solo number one a year later in 2009, with his single I’m Not Alone.
Summer comes off Harris’s fourth studio album which is due to be released later in 2014. Rita Ora’s boyfriend recently became the first artist in the history of UK chart music to bring out nine top ten singles from one album.

Paolo Nutini was unrivalled in the album charts, while Damon Albarn’s new album, titled Everyday Robots, debuted at number two, with Imelda May’s album Tribal coming in at number three.
