For the third year in a row, Calvin Harris has been announced as the world’s highest paid DJ. From June 2014 to June 2015, the Scottish EDM star made $66 million in pre-tax earnings from live performances, licensing, sales and other contracts, according to Forbes’ annual Electronic Cash Kings list.

The 31 year old has made exactly the same amount as he did in 2014, only this time around he’s done it despite playing fewer gigs. Coupled with his girlfriend Taylor Swift’s colossal earnings, the pair have dethroned Jay-Z and Beyonce to become the biggest power couple in the music industry.

As the Forbes article points out, it’s pretty good for somebody who was stacking shelves in a supermarket in a remote Scottish town just a decade ago. Giving his reaction to the same news a year ago, Harris modestly told the publication: “The rise of dance music has been astronomical - I happened to be in the right place at the right time.”

Forbes wrote that, in 2015, Harris “solidified his ascent in mainstream culture,” making the majority of his money through club and festival fees, including a Las Vegas residency, and record sales from his most recent album Motion.

He has also secured a seven-figure modelling endorsement deal with Giorgio Armani, who made him the face of their men’s underwear line, as well as for eye wear and watches.

Trailing far behind in second place on the Electronic Cash Kings list is David Guetta, who raked in $37 million in 2015, followed by Tiesto in third with $36 million. Finishing the top five are Skrillex and Steve Aoki in joint fourth, who made $24 million each.
