The Dark Knight Rises Trailer

The teaser trailer for The Dark Knight Rises shows an injured James Gordon, one of the few police officers in Gotham who is not corrupt, lying in a hospital bed, asking for Batman's help.

The story so far: After witnessing the death of his parents, a young Bruce Wayne moves to Asia, obsessed with vengeance and learning how to fight evil. It is upon returning to Gotham City that he finds it overrun with criminals and corruption. Bruce decides to become the hero that Gotham needs and uses a secret network of caves underneath his mansion as a base for the mysterious caped crusader.

Cultivating a bat image, after an incident as a boy when he fell down a well, Bruce Wayne becomes Batman and defeats a series of criminals, such as his former trainer Henri Ducard (Ra's al Ghul ) and The Scarecrow.

Batman and his friend, attorney Harvey Dent are soon in pursuit of a man calling himself The Joker. Harvey is abducted and taken to a building which is rigged to explode, when it does, half of his face is horribly disfigured and as a result, Harvey goes insane and starts calling himself Two-Face. In the end, Batman captures the Joker but does not kill him and instead murders Dent by throwing him off the side of a building, before escaping. A manhunt by the corrupt Gotham police force starts for Batman after Harvey Dent's funeral.
