Colin Farrell is worried his sons won't like his new movie.

The Irish actor, who has a nine-year-old son, James, with model Kim Bordenave, and a three-year-old son, Henry, with Polish actress Alicja Bachleda-Curus, signed on to 3D animated adventure, 'Epic', for them but isn't convinced they will love it.

The 37-year-old star told Us Weekly magazine: ''I liked the idea that my sons could watch this film and enjoy it. Maybe they won't like it, but I did it for selfish reasons too. I thought it would be fun.''

The actor admits his sons have some unusual interests and are unlikely to follow in his footsteps.

He said: ''Henry is fascinated by fossils. We have a palaeontologist on our hands.''

Colin previously revealed he found being a clueless father ''liberating''.

He said: ''Not knowing what the f**k I'm doing as a dad is huge. I don't know what I'm doing, and that's a very liberating thing. You just go, 'Oh look, there's s**t on the floor.' There's actually s**t on the floor - I have a picture of it on my phone. So what do you do? You clean it up, put a diaper on his ass, and that's that. It's just about being present for these guys.''
