British rock icon David Bowie showed off his best Elvis Presley impersonation to deliver a special Christmas message to fans over the festive holiday.
The reclusive star recorded a quirky 41-second clip for a BBC Radio 6 Music show hosted by the surviving members of The Clash, Mick Jones, Paul Simonon and Topper Headon, and the greeting aired in the U.K. on Thursday (26Dec13).
In the audio message, Bowie puts on Presley's Southern drawl and says, "Hello everybody, this is David Bowie making a telephone call from the U.S. of A. At this time of the year I can't help but remember my British-ness and all the jolly British folk, so here's to you and have yourselves a Merry little Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you very much."
