Director David Cronenberg (The Fly; Scanners; Crash) takes part in a press junket for "A Dangerous Method" at The Regency Hotel in New York. The director reveals that Sigmund Freud is very popular in China at the moment and says that the notorious spanking scene between Michael Fassbender and Keira Knightley is meant to be viewed clinically. David also admits that there wasn't actually any 'real' spanking and that Michael was hitting a box that was 'strategically' placed between Keira's legs.A Dangerous Method is about the relationship between Sigmund Freud and his assistant Carl Jung, which ultimately gave birth to psychoanalysis
