Ed Sheeran's company has earned £2.8 million in the past year.

The 'Lego House' hitmaker's London-based business Nathan Cable Touring has made profits of £1.8 million in the past year, which has helped the 22-year-old star land a £2 million profit thanks to his other organisation Ed Sheeran Limited netting a £166,345 profit in the same time period.

According to documents filed at Companies House, the flame-haired singer's Ed Sheeran Limited business has made more than £2.3 million since 2011.

A source previously said: ''Ed works extremely hard.

''He's grafted 24/7 ever since his first hit single. He barely has any time off because he's either on tour, writing his follow-up album or making tracks for the likes of One Direction. So the money just comes rolling in.''

In April, Ed was named as the joint-17th richest young musician in the UK with an estimated fortune of £5 million.

Ed has managed to amass the huge fortune despite releasing just one album, '+' in 2011, but has spent the year supporting his good friend and superstar singer Taylor Swift on the North American leg of her sell-out 'Red' tour.

The singer is set to release his second studio album on February 17, 2014.
