Every super-villain needs an arch nemesis, and generally they come in the form of a superhero! Megamind and Metro Man have that exact relationship. Megamind is the worlds most famous super-villain and for the past 20 years Metro Man has shattered all his efforts at world domination.
When Megamind inadvertently kills the beloved Metro Man, he finds a huge void in his life. After all, what's the fun in destroying Earth with no one trying to stop you? The blue alien comes up with an idea to create a worthy adversary and someone to challenge his huge brain; but when his creation turns into a monster and turns on the world he once loved, Megamind must decide whose side he's on and if he will become the hero the world badly needs.
