Legal radio stations in 1960's Britain weren't exactly what you'd call interesting to listen to if you were part of the hip young generation. 2 hours of rock was their weekly limit.
It was down to a group of DJs who decided to set up a radio station on a boat based off the coast of England to provide people with the music they wanted to listen to.
Behind the set-up is Quentin, the boss and his team of presenters, an American called The Count and Gavin who is one of the most popular DJs in Britain, constantly competing for the 'top spot' the two frequently come to blows whilst the other DJs are left looking on.
Quentin is visited by his godson Carl who is on a mission to 'find himself', the friends make it their mission not to help Carl find deep meaning within himself, mainly just find him someone to have sex with.
