Arthur and Norma Lewis are a married couple who have a young son. They're cash strapped and having to get by as little as possible. When a box arrives on their doorstep the couple has no idea what purpose it serves. The next day a stranger turns up on their doorstep and explains, if one of the couple presses the button they will be rewarded with one million dollars but someone in the world - who they don't know - will die. The couple must decide what they are going to do and question their own morality.
Based on the book Button, Button by Richard Matheson, the story was later turned into an episode of The Twilight Zone.
