The U.S. reality TV regular took to Instagram on Thursday (22Oct15) to announce the exciting news she will be returning to the stage as corrupt prison warden Matron Mama Morton.

"I'm so excited to say I am headed back to BROADWAY in CHICAGO as Matron Mama Morton!," she wrote.

Leakes made her debut on the Great White Way last year (14), when she portrayed the wicked stepmother in Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella.

The actress will begin her run in Chicago on 23 November (15), with a final performance date set for 20 December (15).

Bruce Willis and Demi Moore's daughter Rumer Willis currently plays Roxie Hart in the production; she will perform her final show on 1 November (15), before Leakes joins the cast.
