The European royals welcomed Gabriella and Jacques in December (14) and the babies were the centre of attention this weekend as family, friends and fans gathered at the Cathedral de Monaco for their baptism.

Over 700 guests packed the venue for the ceremony, while hundreds of other members of the public waited outside the cathedral, where the christening was live-streamed on giant screens in the Palace square.

The religious portion of the event was capped off by 21-gun salutes, which were fired in the babies' honour, before Prince Albert and former Olympic swimmer Princess Charlene walked out of the cathedral arm-in-arm to greet well-wishers.

The royal twins, the grandchildren of late Hollywood legend-turned-princess Grace Kelly, wore custom-made white Baby Dior gowns, while their mum wore a white Dior Haute Couture outfit.

The celebrations continued after the baptism with a luncheon for 400 people in the garden of the Palace's Salon des Glaces (Hall of Mirrors).
