The movie stars Gwyneth Paltrow as a burned-out country singer looking for a comeback

Kelly Canter is one of the biggest stars in America, the country singer is adored by fans in each state, yet in recent years, she's battled addiction problems. Seeking a return to her former popularity and a way back to how life used to be, Kelly's husband, James, pulls her out of rehab and sets her up with a tour of three cities as a comeback tour.

Though her stay in rehab was shorter than it should've been, Kelly found herself growing close to Beau, an enthusiastic singer songwriter who works at the clinic. When Kelly's approached about the possibility of touring, she immediately suggests Beau as an ideal opening act, which her husband agrees with. Also joining the trio is a rising country star Chiles Stanton, a protégée of James' who he's is hoping to break and become the next big star in country music. As the quartet travel from venue to venue romantic liaisons ensue and as Kelly sees the younger, ex-beauty queen start out on the same track as she once did it just adds to her already fragile state of mind.
