Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford are all currently in London, prompting speculation over whether the original Star Wars trio will be reuniting to film Jj Abrams' upcoming Star Wars Episode VII. Abrams' new instalment to George Lucas' sci-fi films is about to begin shooting just outside of the English capitol at the legendary Pinewood Studios nearby.

Carrie Fisher
Carrie Fisher Has Told Friends She'll Be Filming In The UK For 6 Months.

Not that any of the three have been particularly trying to disguise themselves, but there has been no grand fanfare upon the actors' touch-down in the UK. Since the franchise reboot was announced they have been rumoured to be involved, which is why their recent sightings seems to much of a coincidence.

Pretty much every Hollywood face under the sun has been linked to the new film but last month the Star Wars website teased that the film will be set "about 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi, and will star a trio of new young leads along with some very familiar faces." It has been noted that the ages would line up perfectly seeing as Return of the Jedi came out in 1983.

Harrison Ford

Disney boss Alan Horn told Bloomberg TV that casting is "almost complete. We're not prepared to announce it yet, but we will be very shortly announcing what we're doing."

Although Mark Hamill hasn't been photographed out and about, Peter Serafinowicz, AKA the voice of Darth Maul, blew his cover by tweeting "Met up with@HamillHimself in London today. I wonder why he's here" before shared an image of a noticeably trimmer Hamill with a grizzled beard and Luke Skywalker side-parting.

Last Thursday (24th April), Ford, AKA Han Solo himself, was photographed going for a meal at London's Hakkasan restaurant before being spotted chatting with some Air Ambulance crew members on Saturday, minus Chewie of course.

Mark Hamill
Mark Hamill Has Been Spotted Looking Very Luke Skywalker-y.

Carrie Fisher is the one who has been most outspoken on the subject of reprising her role as Princess Leia, but send out a fairly cryptic tweet, hinting she was in London too. "So my do dog Gary has been spotted in London, but apparently without me. Who has he been seeing? Let me know if you have any clues," she wrote.

It had been widely reported that Luke, Leia and Han would appear for little more than cameo roles but Fisher has told others that she'll be filming in London for six months. "I'm going off to London for six months to film the new Star Wars movie," she told her Legit co-star Jim Jefferies, via Yahoo!.

Adam Driver
'Girls' Star Adam Driver Is Said To Be Taking On The Role Of A Darth Vader-esque Villain.

So there we have it: a rather suspicious breadcrumb trail and no official announcement from Disney that three of Star Wars' most iconic characters will be making a comeback. Girls star Adam Driver is one of the closest to dead-cert of the castings and 12 Years a Slave actress Lupita Nyong'o has been linked numerous times.

Lucasfilm is apparently waiting for closer to the start of principal photography before confirming the full slate of stars but fans should be prepared to see some new and unknown faces alongside old favourites.
