The film will be the first in the superhero genre to feature a person of colour in the lead role.

Bringing a whole new nation into the MCU - that of Wakanda - and telling the story of how T'Challa (aka Black Panther) will transition into the role of Wakanda's leader, following the death of his father.
Lupita Nyong'o takes on the role of Nakia in 'Black Panther'

Lupita Nyong'o appears on the November front cover of Grazia.
Actress Lupita Nyong’o has accused Grazia magazine of photoshopping her hair after she appeared in a shoot for the front cover of the publication’s November edition.
The 34 year old Queen of Katwe star said she was “disappointed” that the fashion magazine changed her hairstyle to “fit their notion of what beautiful hair looks like”.
The image on the front cover seems to show Nyong’o with a tightly cropped hairstyle, but she called out the editors of the magazine because she had actually had her hair in a ponytail, which was scrubbed out digitally.
'Black Panther' star Nyong'o went completely incognito at San Diego's 2017 Comic Con.
Lupita Nyong’o underwent an ingenious transformation at Comic-Con this week, disguising herself as a pink Power Ranger so effectively that nobody realised it was her.
The 34 year old star fooled onlookers and fans alike as she went undercover at the San Diego convention this year, walking around in disguise with nobody realising who she was. Such a thing has become a minor tradition at Comic-Con, with the likes of Bryan Cranston, Maisie Williams, Daniel Radcliffe and Mark Ruffalo going incognito in previous years.
The Star Wars and Queen of Katwe actress filmed herself walking through crowds and interacting with fans within the convention centre, at one point doing a dance in the middle of the arena. People even posed for selfies with the pink Power Ranger, wearing a white mask, inside the event, oblivious they were in the presence of a Hollywood star.

While the new trailer has given away little secrets, fans are freaking out in anticipation for ‘The Force Awakens’.
On Monday evening the new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens hit and the internet nearly broke, thanks to the reactions of excited fans. The new clip is our third look at the upcoming film, but this trailer is by far the most interesting for fans, even if it gives little away.
Han Solo and Chewbacca in Star Wars: The Force Awakens
Newcomer Daisy Ridley is heavily featured as Rey, a scavenger who is thought to be the daughter of Han Solo and Princess Leia. The actress herself was just as emotional as the franchises’ legion of fans on Monday, while watching the trailer from her bed.
It's been thirty years since the Rebel Alliance; led by the noble Luke Skywalker, the intrepid Princess Leia and the lionhearted Han Solo; finally defeated Emperor Palpatine of the Galactic Empire, alongside his redeemed assistant Darth Vader. The second Death Star was reduced to rubble, and the galaxy was free from a tyrannous evil once more. If only that were true. For there can never be good without evil, and sure enough another Dark Lord, Supreme Leader Snoke, has arisen to take the Emperor's place, with even more brutal plans for the civilians across the stars. But this time there are also new heroes, better equipped to deal with the ever looming terror thanks to an example set by the now ageing former Han, Luke and Leia. They are now preparing to help a vindicated former stormtrooper named Finn, an independent scavenger called Rey, and Poe Dameron who is a Resistance X-Wing pilot.

Mowgli is a human boy known as a man-cub to his peers, among which are an array of jungle beasts. Left in the jungle as a baby, he was taken in by a family of wolves who raised him as their own. However, the older he grows, the more of a threat he becomes to a formidable villain named Shere Khan; a Bengal tiger with a deep fear of fire and loathing of man. Led by an impatient black panther named Bagheera, he is sent away from his jungle home to the safety of a nearby man village, though the journey becomes less straight-forward the further they stray. Mowgli befriends a fun-loving bear named Baloo, but finds Khan is not the only jungle menace as he is set upon by a gang of monkeys led by the orangutan King Louie, and hypnotised by a vicious snake named Kaa.
