'Wolverine 3' will see Hugh Jackman explore an older version of his character Logan.

The 46-year-old actor - who's already confirmed the upcoming movie will mark the last time he plays the iconic comic book character - has offered fans an insight into what they can expect from his third standalone Wolverine movie.

Looking forward to the new film, Hugh said: ''I've got three words for you guys - Old Man Logan. Read into that what you will.''

The teaser comes shortly after Hugh said that the much-anticipated new movie will be the ''perfect way to go out''.

He shared: ''It felt like it was the right time to do it. And let's be honest, 17 years. I never thought in a million years it would last, so I'm so grateful to the fans for the opportunity of playing it

''I kind of have in my head what we're going to do in this last one. It just feels like this is the perfect way to go out.''

The announcement came as no surprise as Hugh posted a cryptic message on Instagram in March that read: ''WOLVERINE... ONE LAST TIME. (sic)''

'Wolverine 3' is set for release in March 2017.
