Maria Merriweather is a young girl who lives with her father in London, they're wealthy and have a good life. When Maria's father dies, she doesn't know what will become of her. An uncle she never knew she had steps in and takes the little girl into his home and life.

Sir Benjamin is quite an eccentric fellow, his house is very different to her abode in London, it's a large manor house called Moonacre but there's something that seems mysterious. Her uncle tells her she can go anywhere in the house or the grounds but she must stay out of the forest.

Maria becomes part of a whole new world, she finds out she's a Moon Princess and must save her new home and friends before they're lost forever!
