The annual awards celebrate the year’s worst film’s ahead of the Oscars.
It’s the only awards show in town where no one wants to hear their name read out, the annual Razzie awards. The awards, which celebrate the worst Hollywood has to offer, took place last night (February 27th), with Fifty Shades Of Grey and Fantastic Four among the big winners, or should we say losers.
Fifty Shades of Grey took home five awards at the 2016 Razzies.
Fifty Shades of Grey took home five awards, with Jamie Dornan being named worst actor and Dakota Johnson worst actress, the pair were then together named worst screen combo. The film’s scriptwriter Kelly Marcel also nabbed worst screenplay.

The raunchy drama also tied with the Fantastic Four reboot for worst film of the year. Fantastic Four’s Josh Trank also took home the worst director prize and the film was named worst remake. ’Big Bang Theory’ star Kaley Cuoco was awarded worst supporting actress for her role in Alvin & The Chipmunks: Road Chip.
Worst supporting actor went to Eddie Redmayne for the Wachowskis Jupiter Ascending. Redmayne won the best actor Oscar last year for his role as Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything and is up for another this year for The Danish Girl.
But it wasn’t all bad news. Sylvester Stallone, who has picked up 33 Razzie nominations in the past and took home an award 10 times, won the second annual Razzie Redeemer Award.

The prize honours past Razzie winners who have gone on to do better work and is decided by a public vote of Rotten Tomatoes users. Stallone won the award for his role in Rocky spin-off Creed, for which he is also nominated for the best supporting actor award at tonight’s Oscars.
