Fifty Shades of Grey fans might need some help restraining themselves tonight, as E.L. James’ latest book Grey hits shelves at midnight. The spin-off book is a retelling of Christian and Anastasia Steele’s early story, but this time we're hearing it from the point of view of Mr. Grey himself.

Fifty Shades of GreyGet ready to hear the story of Fifty Shades of Grey from Christian’s perspective.

"The book is written from Christian's point of view, need I say more?” Paul Bogaards, a spokesman for publisher Penguin Random House told the New York Daily News. Bogaards added that he had ‘no concerns’ over wether retelling the story from Christian’s perspective might prove to be too raunchy even for Fifty Shades fans.

"As with all Fifty Shades of Grey books, the readers will have the final say,” Bogaards added. So far only a small number of people have had the chance to read Grey, with the book not yet being made available to reviewers.

“The success of  Fifty Shades has been fuelled by readers," Bogaards explained. "The goal with Grey has been to keep the element of surprise in this for her readers — and let them discover the books first.”

Indeed readers have already come out in full force for the novel, pushing it to the top of bestseller lists thanks to pre-orders. "Grey has been our fastest growing pre-order offer so far," Waterstone’s fiction buyer Chris White told the Daily Mail.

Grey is released at midnight on June 18th.
