Singer/songwriter Jason Mraz has been taking time out of his busy tour schedule to plant trees in the cities he plays in to offset his carbon footprint.
The I'm Yours hitmaker has been trying to make his summer trek across the U.S. as green as possible and set up free water stations at his concert venues in a bid to encourage fans to help the environment by not using plastic containers.
He has also been breaking a sweat away from the stage by launching a tree planting initiative - he has teamed up with local organisations to leave a positive mark at every tour stop. And Mraz recently joined school kids in Hartford, Connecticut to boost the campaign.
He tells U.S. breakfast show Today, "We have local tree groups coming out to every show and in some of the cities we actually get off the bus and go plant trees ourselves and get involved in the communities. I've still got thousands (of trees) to go."
