It's finally confirmed. If you thought you would never see the cast of 'Friends' on screen again, you're in for a very pleasant surprise. For a one-off event, all the actors will re-unite on NBC for a two-hour long special episode 12 years after the network aired the very last episode.

Five members of the main cast; David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow; will re-team as Ross, Rachel, Monica, Joey and Phoebe for a new special released partly in tribute to director James Burrows and his landmark success of directing 1,000 TV episodes, 15 of which were 'Friends'.

However, there may be a chance that filming them altogether at the same time poses another problem entirely. 'Hoping that all six of them will be in the same room at the same time, but I'm not sure we can logistically pull that off', Robert Greenblatt of NBC told E! Online. It's a big shame if that's true, but then it seems we have now been conditioned to expect the worst even if the dream solution arises in the end. Don't forget that it was only last year that the show's co-creator Marta Kaufman reiterated that fans 'have to let it go. It'll never happen - not happening!'
