At 52 years-old and having been married twice, comedian Jim Carrey seems to have had enough of putting a label on love as he plans to never tie the knot again, however this does not mean he wants to stay single for ever though.

Jim Carrey
Carey will never tie the knot again

While appearing on the 'Howard Stern Show' on Tuesday morning (Oct 28th), the 'Dumb and Dumber' actor quickly opened up about his views on falling in love, and why dating famous people isn't easy.

When Stern asked Carrey about the possibility of walking down the aisle again, he immediately responded, "I just don't see it as necessary at this point, is it really sacred? I don't know."

Carrey has previously been married Melissa Womer for eight years (1987-1995) and to Lauren Holly for one year (1996), and when he split from his girlfriend of five years, Jenny McCarthy, in 2010, the Hollywood funnyman has made a conscious effort to avoid dating fellow celebrities in an attempt to avoid the spotlight.

"That's one of the keys, for sure, because you're not a commodity that's sell-able," he said. "It's not personal. It's just, if you hook up with someone that's famous, you become a sell-able commodity and that's the most important thing in those magazines. It's not what you're doing in the movies, it's: 'Who are you with? What are you doing? Are you breaking up?'"

And even when Stern asked if the absolute perfect woman came into his life, would Carey even contemplate marriage, he gave a very honest, but pessimistic, answer. "I can't say that I know how I would feel if I meet somebody that knocks my head off," he said. "I can't make hard fast rules about the future but I wouldn't voluntarily go that way."
