Justin Bieber's manager has given him an ultimatum.

The 19-year-old singer was arrested last week and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) with an expired license and resisting arrest in Miami, Florida, and now his manager, Scooter Braun, has told the star he must decide whether he wants to continue with his career.

Recounting his conversation with Justin, Scooter said: ''Either we quit and let you try and find a normal life or you realise that this is what this is and we've got to keep fighting.''

Justin's father Jeremy Bieber was present at the time of his arrest and Scooter feels his role as a manager is sometimes very similar to that of a parent.

He told GQ magazine's March issue: ''It's the same as being with a kid growing up, as a parent. My responsibility is to always be there when they fall, to help them back up. But at some point I need to let them fail.''

Justin - whose court arraignment date has been set for Valentine's Day (14.02.14) - is also said to have received some stern advice from his long-time mentor, Usher, who reportedly flew to Panama on Saturday (25.01.14) to visit the pop heartthrob who is currently holidaying there with rumoured girlfriend Chantel Jeffries.

Justin's mother Pattie is said to have vowed to support her son no matter what happens.
