Justin Bieber is avoiding his mother Pattie Mallette.

The 'Beauty and a Beat' hitmaker, who was released on bail after being charged with drink driving, resisting arrest and drag racing in Miami, Florida on Thursday morning (23.01.14), has reportedly frozen his mother out as she is trying to get him to voluntarily check himself into a rehab facility.

A source told the MailOnline website: ''Justin is not listening to his mother and he's been trying to avoid dealing with her and other people in his camp.''

The 19-year-old star's father Jeremy Bieber was with him when he was arrested and after admitting he had been smoking marijuana and drinking, Justin also told police officers that he had taken anti-anxiety prescription drugs that Pattie had given him.

But the insider said: ''Jeremy, Patti is genuinely very concerned about her son. She's been very sad and worried over the past few weeks.

''People are pushing him to get help but he doesn't want help, he says he doesn't need it and it's very upsetting for Patti. We are at a point where he's around people who are terrible influences, but ultimately, he's about to be 20 on March 1 and you have to make your own decisions. He can't be forced to go to rehab.''

Meanwhile, according to 'Access Hollywood Live' Justin's long-time manager Scooter Braun has given him an ultimatum and threatened to quit unless the star seeks help.
