Justin Bieber's mother is the most ''beautiful'' person he knows.

The 'Beauty and a Beat' hitmaker has paid tribute to his mum Pattie Mallette, who raised the singer with the help of her mother and stepfather after splitting from his father Jeremy Bieber, for giving up everything to help his career flourish.

When asked who is the most beautiful person he knows, the 19-year-old star said: ''My mother - she has sacrificed everything to raise me and help me get to where I am today.

''She has always put her family first and I think that is so beautiful.

''Beauty comes from within. For me, it's about being a kind person who cares about the world around you.''

Despite living his life in the public eye, Justin insists he shares the same ''insecurities'' to other teenagers.

He added to Top of the Pops magazine: ''Like every 19 year old, I'm figuring out who I am and who I want to be.

''I get self-conscious and insecure just like everyone else, but as long as you can believe in yourself, you can overcome it.''
