Justin Bieber is to celebrate his 17th birthday by eating cheesecake with his grandparents.

The teen singing sensation - who turned 17 today (01.03.11) - explained rather than hosting a wild birthday bash, he was looking forward to indulging in his grandma's delicious cherry cheesecake.

He told 'Entertainment Tonight': "Hopefully my grandparents will be out here and I'll be able to spend time, a little bit, with them. My grandma makes the best cheesecake - cherry cheesecake. She made that for my 13th birthday."

"There won't be a birthday bash. I only have, like, four days, so I'm just going to relax, because I start my world tour starting on March 4 - so just going to mentally prepare and just relax."

The 'Baby' hitmaker - who is currently dating Disney actress-and-singer Selena Gomez - also urged his fans to donate to $17 to charity to celebrate his birthday in order to raise $17,000 for clean water in developing countries.

Writing on his Charity: Water page, he said: "I want to make my birthday matter this year - let's make it so more kids can grow up to have a 17th birthday like me."
