Katie Price is preparing to give birth early via Caesarean section.

The 35-year-old model - who is 32 weeks pregnant - feared for her baby's life after being rushed to a foreign hospital 13 days ago due to complications, and now doctors have warned her that her fourth child is likely to be delivered prematurely via the surgical procedure.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she said: ''Doctors want to keep the baby inside me for as long as possible but they've told me they want to perform a caesarean.''

She added: ''I don't know what to expect from the next few days. I just want my baby out so I can meet it and hold it in my arms. I will feel much safer knowing it is out and in an incubator.''

The star and her husband Kieran Hayler - who are expecting their first child together - saw their holiday turn into a ''horror film'' after the amniotic sac - a bag filled with fluid inside the womb - had become torn and was at risk of infection.

She explained: ''All of a sudden, six people rushed into the room and started putting an oxygen mask and a heart monitor on me.

''The only thing I was aware of was that my waters had broken. I didn't know if the baby was going to be OK or whether I was having it or not. It was terrifying.''

Katie - who has 11-year-old son Harvey from her relationship with Dwight Yorke, son Junior, eight, and a daughter Princess Tiaamii, six, with her ex-husband Peter Andre - is currently receiving booster injections to help develop the tiny tot's organs, but she's convinced her baby will be fine.

She said: ''I feel like I've been through hell over the past 13 days, but I just thank God I went straight to hospital and got things under control. I would advise any pregnant mum to do the same.

''My baby was in danger, but between the medical staff here and my doctor in London, I am in good hands and have to believe that all will be well.''
