Kanye West has revealed his fiancee Kim Kardashian will take his last name when they marry. The rapper also said he has had his eye on the reality TV beauty for many years.
Kim Kardashian will take Kanye West's name when they marry.
The 'New Slaves' rapper - who has a four-month-old daughter, North, with the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star - says his new fiancée will indeed change her last name to West, or at least adopt his name to go along with hers, when they tie the knot.
The 36-year-old rapper gushed about Kim, telling Ryan Seacrest on his radio show: ''It's an unfair level of awesomeness in one person to be that smart, to be that nice, to be blatantly fine as hell. Like, one of the most beautiful people of all time. She's not hard to wake up to.''
While the couple's romance blossomed following her failed marriage to basketball player Kris Humphries in 2011, Kanye admits he has had his eye on the reality TV beauty for several years - long before she became a household name.
He said: ''I just knew I wanted her to be my girl for a long time. I remember I saw a picture of her and Paris Hilton, and I remember telling my boy, 'Have you seen that girl Kim Kar-dijon?' ''
The 'All of the Lights' hitmaker also continued to push for his fiancé to be awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, as well as land a cover of Vogue magazine, and slammed ''classism'' in the entertainment industry.
He added: ''It's not the walk of singing, it's the Walk of Fame. We have our cool table ... and there's no way Kim Kardashian shouldn't be on the cover of Vogue. Michelle Obama cannot Instagram a [bikini] pic like what my girl Instagrammed the other day.''
