Lindsay Lohan will sue the victim of her alleged hit-and-run - a Manhattan restaurant worker - after he claimed that she was drunk, reports The New York Daily News.
Oh, Lindsay, you cannot stay out of the news can you? A typically troublesome couple of months ends in yet another prospective legal battle, as the Mean Girls actress prepares to litigate against Jose Rodriguez's claim that she was "slurring" and "smelled like alcohol" when she clipped him with a Porsche. "I'm tired of people lying just to score a quick paycheck," the 26-year-old actress told friends, according to the TMZ. And she's taking him to court, just like that. It's easy to poke fun at Lindsay, but it's worth noting that some of Rodriguez's claims don't add up, for instance: he said that he was hit at speed, but video footage doesn't confirm that. Perhaps this would have been cleared up at the scene had a breathalyser been administered, but alas, it wasn't. "We are confident this matter will be cleared up in the coming weeks and the claims being made against Lindsay will be proven untrue," Steve Honig, her representative explained.
Anyone would have thought a low-profile might have been pertinent for Lohan, considering she was only recently released from probation after her 2007 DUI incident, but she's out and about making headlines like only she knows how. She's currently on another probation for a case of a missing necklace in a Venice jewellery store. Oh, Lindsay.
