Lindsay Lohan would make a music comeback - but to support her younger sister, Aliana Lohan.

The 'Mean Girls' star's debut single, 'Rumors', turns 20 in September, and although the 37-year-old actress-and-singer has no plans to release new solo music anytime soon, she would love to record a duet with her 30-year-old sibling.

Asked if she will ever revisit her music career, she replied to 'Entertainment Tonight': "Um, we'll see, you never know."

She continued: "I think if I did, It would be doing a song with my sister because that's the path she is on and I want to support that.

"So maybe we would do something together, and that's when it would happen."

Lindsay stars in the Netflix movie 'Irish Wish', which features her brother Cody Lohan, 27, and the latter joked that he could do some ad-libs for his sisters during their red carpet interview.

In 2021, Lindsay entered the NFT (non-fungible token) market with her single 'Lullaby', which she made available via the FansForever digital platform.

Those who accessed the song were able to hear Lindsay's first new music since her 2020 single 'Back to Me'.

Meanwhile, Lindsay delighted fans by confirming plans for 'Freaky Friday 2'.

The 'Parent Trap' star revealed a highly anticipated sequel is in the pipeline for the iconic 2003 body swap comedy, and she's "excited" to reunite with Jamie Lee Curtis on the project.

She told People magazine the movie is "in the process", adding: "[I'm] just excited to work with Jamie again and see how much further we can take it.

“Because we talk almost every other day in general, so I think we're going to have a lot of fun with this."

She also addressed the news on SiriusXM's 'Andy Cohen Live' on Monday (04.03.24), noting that "it is" in the works.

However, she insisted: "I don't want to say too much."

It sounds like it's still early days, but a script is reportedly being handled by rising screenwriter Elyse Hollander.

Lindsay made her big-time return to the movie business in 2022, when she starred in the Netflix film 'Falling for Christmas'.

She also made a cameo appearance in the recent 'Mean Girls' musical revival.
