Three members of Mexican singer Luis Miguel's legal team have been arrested for breach of contract after a mechanical failure aboard his plane forced him to cancel a huge show in Mexico.

The Latin superstar was scheduled to perform at the Coliseum Yucatan in Merida on Saturday (07Feb15), where 7,000 fans were eagerly awaiting Miguel's arrival, but, after a long delay, the gig was eventually axed, and Miguel took to Twitter.com and released a statement about the incident, blaming the missed performance on mechanical problems on his plane.

And according to CNN Mexico, the lawyer for the venue filed a complaint in civil court, claiming that Miguel's legal team, including Oscar Raul Montes, Javier Rodriguez Mendoza and Daniel Font, breached the contract promising Miguel's appearance at the concert, which was specially organised to celebrate the Coliseum's first anniversary.

Local Yucatan newspaper El Diario de Yucatan reports the detainees were released from jail late on Sunday (08Feb15).
